Goals and Areas of Interest
This workshop builds on the experience of past years’ editions, incorporating recent development in the field. Overall, the workshop will focus on the various facets of metamodelling as a discipline within software engineering. Some specific areas of interest are:
- Metamodelling and modelling theory
- Metamodelling and ontologies
- Impact of metamodelling on standards development
- Use of metamodelling in agent-oriented software engineering
- Use of metamodelling in object-oriented software engineering
- Metamodels as underpinnings for modelling languages
- The role of metamodels in MDA and model transformations
- Metamodelling in relation to tool building
- Metamodel support for process measurement and improvement
- Business reasons for adopting a metamodel
Paper Review Process
Papers should be submitted through the conference online submission system, and should be original research contributions. In-scope papers will be reviewed by at least two members of the programme committee.

Workshop: one day within conference dates of 22-24 July 2010
Workshop Format
The workshop will be a mix of paper presentations and discussion. The morning session will be devoted to accepted papers - presentation and extended discussion on these papers. Key issues and concerns arising from these discussions will be debated in focus groups during the afternoon with a final plenary session.
