The dinner will be preceded by a visit to a Old Blandy Wine Lodge.

The Old Blandy Wine Lodge was once a 17th Century Monastery, it now provides an ageing store for thousands of barrels of Blandy’s highest quality Madeira wines. Also worth noting is the Vintage Room, where the visitors can sample and purchase some outstanding vintage wines dating back to the early 20th Century! “The Old Blandy Wine Shop” located at street level, is the ideal place to find an extensive selection of Portuguese table wines (including Madeira table wine Atlantis), spirits, locally made liqueurs and of course Madeira wine.

About 6 km away from the town center and not far from the Tivoli hotel, where the conference sessions are held, the venue of the conference banquet is not merely a four star hotel restaurant - it is also the home of the Professional School of Tourism in Madeira. Having started its activity 40 years ago, the school is well respected in the Madeira education sector and well connected to the government of the autonomous region of Madeira as well.
The fact that the hotel is also a vocational school means that the hotel restaurant is one of the most exclusive places in Madeira for tasting the best regional dishes of Madeira as well as exquisite international cuisine, prepared and served by the top students of the professional school of tourism.
